SAILING

You are on a cruise somewhere warm (of course) and through your porthole window you see a sailboat passing by.  The sun is shining, seagulls fly by and all is calm.

I started with a card base of Night of Navy and adhered the DSP to the front.  I then cut the 'porthole' in the front and framed it in Balmy Blue.  I lined up the Whisper White card that will go inside and marked out the circle very lightly in pencil.  After creating a template with copy paper and post-it notes, I used Balmy Blue ink and a sponge to colour the sea and then used one of the stamps from Waterfront in Night of Navy ink and stamped the darker water lines.  Using the post-it note to then cover the sea I sponged Pineapple Punch ink over the rest of the circle.  I then stamped the seagulls in Early Espresso.
The sailboat is inked in black, coloured in Balmy Blue and Pineapple Punch blends.  The congrats and anchor are inked in Early Espresso ink.  Then all three images are diecut and adhered to the front of the card.

Remember, a handcrafted card is like sending a hug with a fold in the middle!
