Nailed It

As I have a man who is a carpenter I knew as soon as I saw this stamp set I was going to have it.

I just love the little screws, nuts and bolts.

And I had to have the hammer hanging off the side just like my husband's tool belt.

Big Shot Clean

The other day my downline Jan found a video on YouTube about cleaning your Big Shot.  She tried it, found it pretty easy to follow and was very surprised at the amount of 'stuff' she found in the guts of her machine.
So this morning I had a go and it was fairly easy to do.  I think there was only one sweaty moment!

This shows the rollers that do all the work and the amount of bits I  found inside.

All the plastic pieces washed with warm soapy water ready to go back together.  I also put a little spray of CRC on the cogs.

My big shot almost looks brand new!

Love Notes for All Occasions
Ashley Van Camp
Love Notes for All Occasions
When Ashley Van Camp started playing with the Designer Tee Stamp Set she discovered that its variety of sentiments makes it one of the most versatile—and coolest—stamp sets around!
She used the set to create these love notes, which are fun to throw in a lunch bag, use for Valentine’s Day, tie to a gift or use as a topper for a treat. Create these samples to show your customers since they’ll be more likely to want to earn the set when you show them another way to use it.
Ashley strategically created these love notes to easily work for a class. Since they all use the same products (ink, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, embellishments and Framelits), it requires little investment on your end while showing your customers a wide variety of products. You could offer a class with a lower fee that covers the cost of the projects and your time, or you could set the fee higher so that attendees purchase products they will need for the class and earn the Designer Tee Stamp Set for free!

Want to get paid to party?

You can! Whether you’re into card-making, memory keeping, or owning a business that enables you to share creativity, we invite you to join Stampin’ Up! As a demonstrator, you’ll gather friends, explore your creativity, and sell amazing crafting products. Sounds great, right ?

One of the first questions you may have, though, is what to get in the Starter Kit! Unlike many companies, Stampin' Up lets you CHOOSE it ALL--$285 worth for just $189 and no shipping. It's awesome if you already have a bunch of supplies--you don't get a bunch of duplicates--but some stampers can find it a little overwhelming if you're not sure what to pick.

I've put together my suggestions for a great Starter Kit order that would give you what you need in these scenarios. Because it's Sale-A-Bration 2017 right now, these include two additional any-price stamp sets above and beyond the $189 worth in the kit. Hopefully you'll gain a little food for thought, both about what YOU might pick out, and also about the amazing deal that the Starter Kit really is. ENJOY!

NOTE: every Starter Kit comes with the following business supplies, at no charge. One case of current main catalogs (8); 8-pack of Spring 2017 Occasions Catalogs; 8-pack of Sale-A-Bration 2017 reward choice catalogs; pack of order forms (50); invitation postcards (100); recruit folders (5); hostess packet (10); Stampin' Success magazine subscription (bi-monthly); a Paper Pumpkin craft kit; and Quick Start resources.

Suggested Starter Kit for Big Shot Owners: can you imagine getting all these dies at once? Crafting overload! I've combined some of my very favorite Big Shot embossing folders and accessories plus two die collections that coordinate with really versatile, fun stamp sets. If you already have the Big Shot machine, then just enter the dies and folders suggested below.

If you do not own a Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263) $190.00, this is a must have!!!!  Use it with dies or folders to easily cut shapes and add texture to your projects.  Includes Standard Cutting Pads and Big Shot Platform.

  • Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263)  $190.00
  • Magnetic Platform (130658)  $84.00
  • Paper-Piercing Tool (126189)  $8.50
  • Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set (140697)  or your choice FREE with Starter Kit
  • Suite Sayings (140712) or your choice FREE with Starter Kit

Suggested Starter Kit for Scrapbookers: you'll love the easy and quick memory-keeping system that Stampin' Up has partnered with Becky Higgins to exclusively offer in our colors and patterns. I've selected albums and page protectors in two sizes (12x12 and 6x8) and a couple of really versatile card collections with their coordinating accessory sets. Then, for the free stamp sets--two that work so perfectly with scrapbooking that it's really a match made in heaven.

Sale-A-Bration Product Highlights
It’s time to start Sale-A-Brating! Our biggest sales event of the year is here—and we’re here to help you learn about the products inside and out.
Our first product highlight is the Hey, Chick Stamp Set. Read what our illustrator, Lori Sume, has to say about her inspiration for the set:
When I was a child growing up in Canada, I remember some family friends who had little chickens that I thought were so cute. A couple of summers ago here in Utah, I stopped at a friend’s ranch and saw all their cute animals including their chickens. They had typical chickens but also another kind called Polish Frizzle Bantam White Chickens. I think they are so funny with all those feathers flopping around on the top of their heads and how they like to stare straight at you and cock their heads.
So when I was assigned to create the Hey, Chick Stamp Set, I was so excited. I wanted to exaggerate the rounder chickens and really make them round, and I also really wanted to draw one of those funny chickens I saw at my friend’s ranch. It was a really fun set to create.

You're Invited

A friend at work asked me to design and make invites for her parents 40th wedding anniversary and after showing her some samples, she picked this.  One of my daughters was home for Christmas and she enjoys crafting (and probably better at it than me!) so we spent an afternoon getting all the pieces made.

I then took all the bits on holiday and assembled the invites on the days it was not too windy.  If you take a closer look at the photo, you might see a few things holding the bits down!

All done and delivered this afternoon.
