VERY VERSAILLES

This card shows how versatile Stampin' Up's DSP can be.  I've used  the reverse side of the snowflake splendor DSP to create this soft and feminine card.  I've paired it with pool party and highland heather cardstocks and the Very Versailles stamp set.

The technique for attaching the ribbon may be new to some and is achieved by attaching tear n tape across the card and then gathering the ribbon onto it.  I found using my Take Your Pick tool helpful.

CASEing Inspiration

 

Feel like crafting, but you’re not sure what to make or where to start? Sometimes all it takes is a little inspiration. We recommend spending a few minutes looking through the catalogue and searching for projects that remind you why you adore paper-crafting! Before you know it, you’ll be pulling out your stamps, ink, and paper, ready to CASE (Copy and Share Everything).

If you have never CASEd before, don’t worry! It’s very simple to do. First, decide what you love most about a favourite project in the catalogue, then copy it to create something new. After that, use the following CASEing steps to create three crafting projects.

JOYFUL HOLLY

 

When I received my parcel from Stampin' Up a few weeks ago, inside the Ornamental Envelopes stamp set was Joyful Holly by mistake.  I was able to keep this and received the correct stamp set very quickly.  Thank you Stampin' Up. 

So using a layout from Jacque Williams, this pretty card was born!  I have painted the leaves with grey granite ink using a wink of stella pen (the sparkle does not show up in this photo).  The frilly at the bottom is from Ornate Borders.  The berries and gem have been painted with cherry cobbler light blend.

I've got a large stash of ribbon so just used whatever I had to adorn the top of the card.

CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

I just love non traditional colours for a Christmas card and the softness of the blues, pinks and whites in this card are lovely.  The layout of this card was inspired by Mitosu Crafts.

The vellum has been heat embossed with white and layered over balmy blue and misty moonlight card.  The sentiment has also been heat embossed and diecut with either the stitched shapes or layering circles.

The envelope dies are great for any time, not just Christmas.
