BY THE BAY

GRAPEFRUIT BEAUTY

We had a team afternoon a couple of weeks ago at my downline's house and one of the make'n takes we made was this one below. If you saw my previous post, you will know that I love the Beauty Abounds bundle!!

So, in this card we have used some of the stamps in this set as well as the large die. The die cut uses the grapefruit grove foil which seems to have the ability to take on the colour of whatever it is partnered with - much more than the lovely lipstick foil does. In saying that, the lovely lipstick foil is gorgeous too.

Two of the butterflies in this die have been removed and one is placed on the inside of the card and the other is on the matching envelope.

MINT BEAUTY

I'm in love with the new Beauty Abounds bundle - especially the dies which give me a heap of butterflies in different sizes and shapes.

This die cut shown in the card above is one die which has five butterflies - fabulous!!

This card design was case'd from Mary Fish and I've used Share What You Love DSP 'cos I've got heaps left over. Good enough reason I say.
I still had candy dots in my stash which are retired but could be replaced with pearls or rhinestones coloured with a bermuda bay blend.

GEARED UP VALENTINE

When I saw France Martin make this card, I knew I had to try it. The 'geared up' embossing on the red foil looks steampunk (ish) to me and makes the valentine a little less 'cheesy'. I think we New Zealanders don't like gushy, overly sentimental cards.

Doesn't this look great? And it's an awesome way to get more mileage out of the dies. I think the red foil is retired but it could easily be substituted with another foil or cardstock.
