VERTICAL EASEL GARDEN WISHES

I watched a Splitcoasters video on Youtube featuring this vertical easel by Wendy Lee and instantly thought of the dandelion die in the Dandy Wishes dies and how cool it would look on the front of this card.

It looks complicated but once the steps were broken down it was easy - the way most things are.  After punching out two circles - I had the 1" circle punch, folding them in half and attaching them to either side of the fold on the front of the card.  You could do this step before or after adhering the DSP to the front as they do not show.  The very last step is attaching the dandelion panel to the two circles - they create a hinge of sorts.

Then all that was needed was the stopper on the inside of the card.

HAPPY DRAGONFLY

 This was a fairly easy card to start 2021, using the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, Dragonflies punch and DSP from Dandy Garden in the Jan - Jun 2021 Mini Catalogue.

The two diecut circles are from the Stitched Shapes dies.  The dragonfly is stamped, punched and wink of stella has been used to give the wings a glossy look.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

WHISPER WHITE CARDSTOCK

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.

We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. Peaceful Nativity Step-Up

 

CASUAL To make the simplest version of this beautiful Christmas card, stamp the Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and stable images on the card front in Crumb Cake ink. Tip: Stamp off to create depth. Stamp Mary, Joseph, and Jesus again on a separate piece of cardstock, colour with Watercolor Pencils, and cut out using the 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) Circle Punch. Adhere the baby Jesus image using Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it the focal point of the card.

To create a glowing effect for the star of Bethlehem image, cut a small wedge from a Stamping Sponge. Dip the tip of the sponge in Frost White Shimmer Paint and dab it on the sky above the stable to create a background for the star. Such a lovely effect!

AVID Step up the second card by die cutting the stable and star images using the Nativity Dies. (This time we stamped the stable image on Crumb Cake Cardstock and added colour to the star using Daffodil Delight ink.) Dip a Water Painter in Frost White Shimmer Paint and splatter on the cardstock to create the impression of a sky full of stars.

ARTFULLY AVID For our most detailed sample, we first laid down a watercolour wash on a layer of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Once it was dry, we splattered water droplets and Frost White Shimmer Paint on the cardstock, creating the effect of a glowing night sky. As a finishing touch, we created manger "hay" by fraying the edges of a piece of 1/2" (1.3 cm) Vanilla Open Weave Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, folding it in half, and placing it under the baby Jesus.
